Nina 是黑人Jazz 女歌手裡獨一無二的一位. 其黑人獨特低沉渾厚卻又飄移的嗓音完美詮釋出其特有的只有屬於Nina 的 “ Black Jazz” . 尤其在早期1960-1970 年代的經典曲目像 Wild is wind, I want a sugar in my bowl, Black is the color of my true lover’s hair, 其black voice吟唱起來每每像琴弦一般在你耳邊像絲段般似斷未斷. 優雅泣訴著早期黑色人種的愛與哀愁。

在一些之Hollywood 的電影與記錄片這兩首經典歌曲常被選中為配樂;完美的替劇情加分增添許多戲劇的張力. 像是電影雙面女煞星https://zh.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E9%9B%99%E9%9D...... 裡的由布麗姬, 芳達飾演的Nina , 其一聽就讓人無法輕易忘記的聲音與歌曲完美的將劇中女主角由叛逆迷惘的少女, 被迫成為殺手後; 為追求全然的自由與解脫的平凡劇情畫龍點睛並串連起來. 或許多年之後觀眾會記得的是Nina Simone 的歌曲, 連帶的;其電影也不易被人遺忘.
